Pursuing an Honours degree with an Accounting specialization offers numerous advantages. Graduates of this program play vital roles in accounting, finance, and management organizations.
The Honours Program requires full-time study over one year, starting in the first semester. It consists of two key elements: coursework and a thesis. Participants enhance their research capabilities, analytical problem-solving techniques, and both written and verbal communication skills through this program.
Honours candidates complete three coursework units, including a mandatory research foundations and methods course along with two specialization electives. Depending on their focus area, students may finish their coursework in the first semester or spread it across both semesters.
The thesis involves producing a 20,000-word research dissertation on a topic of deep intellectual interest to the student. This research should explore new areas that meaningfully expand existing knowledge in the chosen field. Evaluation focuses on research design quality, question formulation, methodology application, findings interpretation, and effective research communication. Students develop their thesis throughout their entire program duration.
