The Bachelor of Arts honours program serves as both a foundation for advanced studies and the crowning achievement of undergraduate education. This intensive year can mark the conclusion of your academic journey while expanding your intellectual horizons, refining research capabilities, analytical thinking, and communication skills, while cultivating the personal and professional competencies required to successfully complete a research project. Ideal for undergraduates with a single major, honours also represents the initial phase toward careers in academia or professional research. The program combines seminar coursework with an independent research thesis, guided by faculty experts in your chosen field.
Sociology examines modern society, exploring issues from local communities to worldwide phenomena, addressing both daily experiences and broader questions about social structures and global trends.

Through theoretical frameworks and research methods, Sociology analyzes social, economic, political, and cultural aspects. Our course offerings reflect the discipline's wide-ranging scope in Sociology and Social Policy. The program focuses on developing robust conceptual understanding and research proficiency, with particular emphasis on historical and comparative perspectives to navigate our increasingly interconnected world.
