The Bachelor of Arts honours year serves as both a foundation for advanced studies and the pinnacle of undergraduate education. This program can represent the final stage of your academic journey, offering an opportunity to broaden your intellectual horizons, refine your research skills, and enhance your analytical and communication abilities while developing the personal and professional competencies required to successfully complete a research project. Designed for undergraduates with a single major, honours can also launch your career in academia or professional research. The program combines seminar coursework with an independent research thesis, guided by a faculty expert in your chosen field.
In Italian Studies, the honours year includes specialized seminar courses and a student-selected thesis topic developed in collaboration with department advisors.
Eligibility requires completion of an Italian Studies major with a minimum 70 percent average.
