The Bachelor of Arts honours program serves as both a foundation for graduate studies and the pinnacle of undergraduate education. This intensive year can mark the conclusion of your academic journey while expanding your intellectual horizons, refining research capabilities, analytical thinking, and communication skills. It also fosters the personal and professional competencies required to successfully execute a research project. Ideal for undergraduates with a single major, honours study may also launch careers in academia or professional research. The program combines seminar coursework with an independent research thesis, guided by a faculty expert in your chosen field.
All students, regardless of their initial language proficiency, may be eligible for honours. Admission requires completing your major with a minimum 70% average.
A sample honours curriculum might include courses from HBRW3610 through HBRW3613.
The honours year provides extensive immersion in Modern Hebrew, featuring advanced language application and in-depth exploration of its linguistic characteristics.
Participants engage with advanced seminars and conclude their studies by producing a research thesis on a self-selected topic, written in either English or Hebrew.
