The Government and International Relations program provides comprehensive, structured learning in core aspects of political science and global affairs.
Students undertake two advanced coursework units examining domestic, comparative, and global political systems. Additionally, a research methodology unit equips students for their extended dissertation project. This research focus is developed in consultation with an assigned faculty supervisor specializing in the selected field of study.
This specialization is open to students who have completed an undergraduate major in Political Science, Politics and International Relations, or International Relations.
The Bachelor of Arts honors year serves as both a bridge to graduate studies and a culminating undergraduate experience. Honors study expands intellectual horizons, refines research capabilities, enhances analytical and communication skills, and develops the personal and professional competencies required to successfully execute a research project.
The honors program can launch academic careers or professional research paths. It combines seminar-based learning with an independent research thesis, guided by a faculty advisor with expertise in the chosen research area.
