Rooted in comparative literary frameworks, this major offers both personal enrichment and professional preparation for careers in publishing, advertising, media, government, NGOs, and academic research.
Through comparative coursework exploring global cities, text-image relationships, or genres like science fiction, you'll examine how societal, historical, cultural, and political themes emerge across literary traditions and historical periods.
No foreign language proficiency is required for core coursework, as instruction is in English using translated texts. However, reading competency in at least one non-English language becomes necessary for Honors and Postgraduate studies.
