The Bachelor of Arts and Master of Nursing dual degree program helps you cultivate critical thinking abilities, independent reasoning, and the capacity to form and express well-reasoned opinions while delving into various fields within Arts and Social Sciences.
You'll undertake a primary specialization from the Arts and Social Sciences disciplines, supplemented by either a secondary minor or another major from the same pool or shared disciplines. The program also includes Open Learning Environment courses and optional electives to fulfill credit requirements.
Your initial year focuses exclusively on Arts and Social Sciences before introducing nursing coursework in the second year. Progression to the Master of Nursing requires meeting academic benchmarks. The nursing curriculum blends theoretical study with extensive hands-on training, featuring over 800 hours of clinical placements.
This program equips you with historical perspective and analytical tools to examine creative works across different eras and cultures, understanding their connections and original contexts. You'll develop essential visual and spatial interpretation skills, learning to critically assess artistic forms. Beyond traditional mediums like painting and sculpture, you'll explore diverse practices including performance art, digital media, printmaking, and environmental installations.
