The dual Bachelor of Arts and Master of Nursing program cultivates analytical thinking and critical reasoning while equipping you with the competencies required for nursing registration. This pathway creates diverse professional possibilities in both healthcare and non-clinical environments. Throughout this interdisciplinary program, you'll engage with experts from humanities and health fields, acquiring comprehensive knowledge alongside leadership and problem-solving abilities. The curriculum provides deep insight into nursing's role within evolving healthcare systems locally and globally. After completing four years of full-time study, you'll earn two qualifications and meet the registration requirements of Australia's Nursing and Midwifery Board. The Arts component lets you pursue personal interests while building versatile professional skills, making you adaptable across healthcare, media, government, community services, and research sectors.

Social and cultural anthropology examines humanity holistically, investigating both universal traits and cultural specificities. This field highlights our inherent ability to develop cultures and the necessity of cultural belonging for human flourishing.

Anthropological studies cultivate informed perspectives on contemporary global challenges. You'll engage with social science discourse through cross-cultural analysis, recognizing that your own cultural framework represents just one possibility within human diversity.

The curriculum focuses on cultural analysis methodologies while examining how our personal cultural lenses shape our perceptions of others and ourselves.

Core study areas encompass: regional specializations (China, Indigenous Australia, Latin America, Melanesia, Southeast Asia); cross-cultural examination of modern issues like economic disparity, healthcare systems, religious practices, gender dynamics, and family structures; critical analysis of racism, multiculturalism, development, and environmental concerns; plus anthropological history and methodologies.

Graduates emerge with nuanced understanding of cultural diversity in global contexts and the ability to analyze intercultural interactions – valuable skills for careers across public, private, and nonprofit sectors.
