This five-year program provides an extensive and adaptable dual-degree pathway that certifies you as an accredited social worker while enabling you to broaden your expertise with complementary majors and minors alongside the Bachelor of Social Work. Although the combined degree mandates a major or minor in Sociology, or a minor in Social Policy, you can select additional majors or minors in diverse fields like cultural studies, gender studies, Indigenous studies, or philosophy. The curriculum integrates social sciences, social policy, and social work theory with a focus on Australian and international welfare systems. During the final two years, all students complete a professional social work component, featuring two supervised fieldwork placements in various settings. The program progressively builds field education competencies, cultivating values, skills, and knowledge to meet the AASW Practice Standards from foundational to professional levels.
Modern Hebrew, spoken by roughly nine million people worldwide, serves as contemporary Israel's official language. This major offers a comprehensive language acquisition approach focusing on five core competencies: listening, speaking, reading, writing, and cultural understanding. As you progress, you'll enhance your command of these linguistic and intercultural abilities.
While daily conversational Hebrew forms the primary focus, the curriculum exposes students to multiple language styles and text formats, from media to literary works. Upon completion, you'll achieve fluency across various contexts while developing analytical skills to examine Modern Hebrew's linguistic characteristics, literature, and cultural significance.
