This four-year undergraduate degree readies students for professional speech pathology practice, teaching assessment and management techniques for communication and swallowing difficulties. The curriculum encompasses speech, language, literacy, dysphagia, voice disorders, hearing impairments, augmentative communication, and fluency disorders. Accredited by Speech Pathology Australia, graduates meet all requirements to practice nationally.
The program includes foundational studies in speech science, neuroscience, and behavioral science, alongside specialized speech pathology subjects and electives. Clinical training begins in your second year, with placements occurring both on-campus and at external sites like hospitals, schools, health centers, disability services, and private practices. High-achieving students may pursue an integrated honors pathway during the final three semesters.
