Speech pathology is a profession dedicated to addressing communication and swallowing disorders. These challenges may involve speech, language, voice, fluency (such as stuttering), hearing, or literacy difficulties.
This intensive two-and-a-half-year full-time program provides advanced coursework to deepen your expertise in both clinical practice and research. You'll acquire skills to evaluate, diagnose, and treat diverse clients with communication disorders, including speech deficits, voice disorders, language impairments, fluency issues, and swallowing/eating complications.

To be eligible for entry, you'll need:
a bachelor degree (or equivalent) in any discipline.
Entry is competitive based on GPA with a limited intake capacity. Please see 'Additional application information' below for further details on entry requirements.
Relevant disciplines for previous qualifications
Study in fields such as health, humanities, education, social, physical, or biological sciences is recommended.
English language requirements
IELTS overall 7; speaking 8; reading 7; writing 7; listening 7. For other English Language Proficiency Tests and Scores approved for UQ
TOEFL iBT (including Paper Edition) - Overall 100, listening 25, reading 25, writing 27, speaking 27.
PTE Academic - Overall 72, listening/reading/writing minimum 72, speaking 82.
CES - Overall 185, listening/reading/writing minimum 185, speaking 200.
BE and OET are not accepted.
