The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is a globally acknowledged postgraduate research qualification. Under the supervision of your advisory committee, you'll conduct a substantial research initiative culminating in a 40,000-word dissertation and oral defense. Certain cases may permit alternative thesis formats. Full-time MPhil studies typically require 1.5-2 years to finish, helping you cultivate sophisticated expertise and research methodologies. As an independent research program, the MPhil demands robust academic preparation for admission, potentially including a research proposal and supplementary application materials. Approximately 500 MPhil scholars enroll annually at UQ, exploring diverse subject areas, with numerous candidates progressing to doctoral studies.
You have to prove you are prepared for MPhil study. You do this by showing you:
have completed some relevant experience
have completed an approved university degree and
can meet the English language requirements.
