The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is a globally recognized postgraduate research qualification.
Under the supervision of your advisory committee, you'll conduct substantial research culminating in a 40,000-word dissertation and oral defense. In certain cases, your final submission may take a different format.
This full-time program typically requires 1.5-2 years to finish, helping you cultivate sophisticated research skills and methodological expertise.
As an independent research degree, the MPhil demands strong academic preparation. Applicants often need to provide a detailed research proposal along with supporting documentation.
Each year, approximately 500 MPhil candidates enroll at UQ, exploring diverse research areas. Numerous graduates choose to advance their studies by pursuing a doctoral degree.
