The Master of Epidemiology program enhances your grasp of various principles, methods, and analytical techniques in epidemiology, empowering you to make significant contributions to the field.
This course elevates your expertise in epidemiology, biostatistics, and research methodologies to an advanced level. It's tailored for individuals with prior experience in epidemiology, quantitative studies, or healthcare.
Throughout the program, you'll take core courses that deepen your epidemiological knowledge and refine your methodological abilities, alongside optional courses focusing on research, public health, and related areas.
Additionally, you'll complete a research project tackling a specific public or population health issue. You'll engage in every research phase, from selecting a topic and approach to analyzing data and presenting your conclusions.

Qualification Requirements
To enrol in the program, a person must:
hold an approved degree in the same discipline, with a GPA of 5; or
both-
hold an approved degree in any discipline, with a GPA of 5; and
have completed one year full-time (or equivalent) work experience in a healthcare, public health or research setting, as approved by the executive dean; or
if progressing from the Graduate Diploma in Epidemiology, students must have gained a GPA of 5.5 in 8 units from part A of the GDipEpi course list

For other English Language Proficiency Tests and Scores approved for UQ TOEFL IBT - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21 and speaking 19. TOEFL PB - Overall 570, listening 54, reading 54, writing 59/5. Pearsons - Overall Score of 64 and 60 in all sub bands. BEP - A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all macro skills. CES - Overall 176 and 169 in all sub bands. OET is not accepted.
