Rapid population expansion, worldwide interconnectedness, and shifting climate patterns represent some of today's most pressing global challenges. These factors, combined with new and recurring environmental health dangers, create significant demands on governments, businesses, and societies to implement lasting, eco-conscious strategies.
Over this two-year course, you'll acquire the analytical tools and practical abilities to recognize and tackle sophisticated environmental health threats. You'll develop the capacity to effectively convey risk assessments and preventive measures to diverse audiences including corporate entities, policymakers, and community members. Additionally, you'll be trained to participate in or lead the creation of policies, standards, and regulatory frameworks by interpreting and applying scientific research findings.
An approved degree; or
A degree (or equivalent) in a different discipline and a minimum of 12 months full-time (or equivalent) work experience in an environmental health-related setting, as approved by the Executive Dean; or
A Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Environmental Health Sciences from this university (or equivalent).
A degree in one of the following disciplines would normally meet the 'approved degree' requirement:

The minimum GPA to be considered for admission into this program is 4.0.
English Proficiency
IELTS overall 6.5; reading 6; writing 6; speaking 6; listening 6. For other English Language Proficiency Tests and Scores approved for UQ TOEFL IBT - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21 and speaking 19. TOEFL PB - Overall 570, listening 54, reading 54, writing 59/5. Pearsons - Overall Score of 64 and 60 in all sub bands. BEP - A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all macro skills. CES - Overall 176 and 169 in all sub bands. OET is not accepted.
