Tackle biological challenges impacting our world by manufacturing essential chemical components, therapeutic medications (biopharmaceuticals), lab-grown organs, biomaterials, food and beverage items, and renewable energy sources.
Gain knowledge from cutting-edge breakthroughs applied in biological and medical sciences. Explore how advancements in synthetic biology and related methodologies, particularly more accessible gene editing technologies, have significantly enhanced our bioengineering capabilities.
With growing proficiency in manipulating biological systems, natural processes are increasingly supplanting traditional chemical and mechanical methods due to their benefits of sustainable materials, gentle operating conditions, and reduced environmental impact. Bioengineering presents solutions for addressing critical health and ecological issues.
To be eligible for entry, you'll need:
a 4-year bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (see below), or
a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) which includes all of the relevant discipline content (see below), or
to have successfully completed 3 years of study towards an approved qualification at an overseas partner institution, with a formal pathway to the Master of Bioengineering (Professional).
You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 5.0 on a 7-point scale in your previous qualification.
Relevant disciplines for previous qualifications
