Through UQ's intensive one-year Graduate Diploma in Molecular Biology, you'll master essential laboratory methods including electrophoresis, PCR, endonuclease mapping, fluorescent reporters, and expression vectors.
You'll achieve in-depth understanding of gene architecture, protein synthesis, and their functional relationships. The curriculum encompasses genome analysis, recombinant DNA methodologies, and macromolecular structural analysis. Combining lab sessions, workshops, research projects, and guided learning, you'll acquire proficiency in bioinformatics, molecular genetics, biomolecular interactions, and immune system studies.
Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to design an original research proposal and execute a scientific investigation as part of your elective coursework.
Bachelor degree in any field; or
Graduate Certificate in Molecular Biology.
UQ or equivalent GPA of 5 or above on a 7 point scale.

For other English Language Proficiency Tests and Scores approved for UQ TOEFL IBT - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21 and speaking 19. TOEFL PB - Overall 570, listening 54, reading 54, writing 59/5. Pearsons - Overall Score of 64 and 60 in all sub bands. BEP - A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all macro skills. CES - Overall 176 and 169 in all sub bands. OET is not accepted.
