Enhance your medical imaging skills and lead the way in diagnostic advancements. The field of medical imaging is evolving quickly, with hybrid systems like MR-PET becoming increasingly prevalent. Combining the detailed anatomical visualization of MRI with PET's metabolic insights, these integrated systems demand proficiency in both standalone technologies. This intensive six-month program (available full-time or part-time) caters to healthcare specialists including nuclear medicine technologists and radiographers seeking comprehensive training in MR-PET system operation, covering equipment, software, setup procedures, and calibration. Participants will master MRI techniques, safety protocols, patient preparation, clinical applications, and specialized scanning protocols for different anatomical regions. The curriculum also examines contrast media utilization and variables influencing MRI image precision. A highlight of this Graduate Certificate is the hands-on residential component, offering practical experience with MRI equipment and scanning techniques using human subjects.
