This four-year combined degree program enables you to contribute to significant scientific progress by mastering two highly versatile technical fields. You'll develop comprehensive expertise in biomedical science while having the freedom to choose a specialized focus within the science curriculum.
The science portion teaches the scientific method through practical experiences like designing experiments, conducting lab work, and coding, while enhancing your analytical abilities, communication skills, and numerical reasoning.
You can pursue your passions by selecting from one of Australia's most diverse arrays of science specializations. Options span from chemistry and computing to advanced mathematics and marine sciences, among numerous others.
Your biomedical science education includes substantial hands-on training, with chances to collaborate with leading researchers at the forefront of new discoveries.
Queensland Year 12 (or equivalent) General English subject (Units 3 & 4, C); Mathematical Methods (Units 3 & 4, C); and one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics (Units 3 & 4, C).
English language requirements
IELTS overall 6.5; reading 6; writing 6; speaking 6; listening 6. For other English Language Proficiency Tests and Scores approved for UQ
TOEFL IBT - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21 and speaking 19.
TOEFL PB - Overall 570, listening 54, reading 54, writing 59/5.
Pearsons - Overall Score of 64 and 60 in all sub bands.
BE - A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all macro skills.
CES - Overall 176 and 169 in all sub bands.
OET is not accepted.
