Position yourself at the cutting edge of pharmaceutical practice and gear up for a meaningful career dedicated to enhancing public health. This curriculum equips you to become an essential part of the healthcare network. You'll train in specialized labs and simulated pharmacy environments at PACE, our advanced biomedical research facility. Through six interconnected study areas, you'll master competencies in medication optimization, pharmaceutical formulation, ethical pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical research, pharmacokinetics, and statistical interpretation. Starting in year one, you'll gain hands-on experience through diverse practical sessions, culminating in two intensive 4-week placements during your final year. Throughout the program, you'll accumulate over 350 hours of guided clinical training across various healthcare environments, from hospitals to retail pharmacies. Our extensive network includes collaborations with over 500 pharmacies across urban, regional, and international locations. Upon graduation, you'll be prepared to enter a field boasting one of Australia's highest employment rates for new graduates.
Queensland Year 12 (or equivalent) General English subject (Units 3 & 4, C); General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods or Specialist Mathematics (Units 3 & 4, C); and Chemistry (Units 3 & 4, C). (Biology also recommended)
