The Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours) trains future dental experts at UQ's state-of-the-art Oral Health Centre – Australia's premier academic dental facility. Study at one of the nation's top-ranked dental schools, enjoying personalized attention through smaller class sizes with expert faculty. You'll master both the scientific principles and clinical techniques for patient care, while learning to prevent, identify, and treat various oral health issues. The program provides comprehensive training in general dentistry, periodontal care, root canal treatments, dental prosthetics, oral pathology, surgical procedures, and community dental health. Through hands-on experience, you'll develop the competence to deliver exceptional oral healthcare that positively impacts people's wellbeing.
Queensland Year 12 (or equivalent) General English subject (Units 3 & 4, C); Chemistry (Units 3 & 4, C) (Biology also recommended), and UCAT (domestic* only).
