The Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Honours) program equips you for a rewarding career as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (including Accredited Exercise Scientist). You'll train in cutting-edge exercise science facilities featuring specialized labs for biomechanics, motor control, exercise physiology, and strength conditioning. This qualification enables you to become an Accredited Exercise Physiologist focused on developing exercise programs to prevent and treat various chronic health issues and injuries. The University of Queensland's Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Honours) readies students for careers as Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs), Australia's most rapidly expanding allied health profession. AEPs create and implement exercise programs addressing musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, metabolic, neurological, cancer, and mental health conditions while offering expert health and activity guidance. Their services are recognized by Medicare and most private health insurers. The program includes 600+ hours of hands-on training through on-campus clinics and external placements, enhancing clinical abilities and exposing students to diverse work environments and clients - potentially leading to job opportunities. Graduates can obtain dual accreditation from Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) as both Accredited Exercise Physiologists and Accredited Exercise Scientists.
Queensland Year 12 (or equivalent) General English subject (Units 3 & 4, C); and one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics (Units 3 & 4, C).
