Elevate your business competitiveness through an honors degree designed to sharpen your exceptional academic talents and advanced analytical capabilities. This one-year Bachelor of Business Management (Honours) program equips you to conduct research relevant to contemporary and future business challenges. You'll expand boundaries and cultivate sophisticated abilities while working toward your thesis completion, pursuing research in an area you're deeply passionate about. During this journey, you'll receive guidance from a supervisor of your choice who will assist in developing your study plan, reviewing your progress, and offering constructive feedback. The business management honors program offers students an additional year of high-caliber study to strengthen both their business acumen and research expertise.
(1) To be eligible for admission to the BBusMan(Hons), a person:
(a) must have:
(i) completed the program requirements of the Bachelor of Business Management, Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management or Bachelor of Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management from this university, and
(ii) completed all courses listed as prerequisites for entry into honours, and
(iii) gained a GPA of 5.5; or
(b) must:
(i) have completed an award, equivalent to that in subrule (1)(a)(i), and
(ii) satisfy the executive dean that the person is qualified to undertake the program:
(A) demonstrating, based on the person¬øs academic records, that an equivalent body of knowledge has been gained to an equivalent standard as described in subrules (1)(a)(ii) and (1)(a)(iii), and
(B) subject to completion of additional work, if set.
(2) A person who fulfilled subrule (1)(a) or (1)(b) more than two years prior to program commencement must obtain approval from the executive dean to enrol. If enrolment is approved, the executive dean may set conditions.
English Proficiency
IELTS overall 6.5; reading 6; writing 6; speaking 6; listening 6. For other English Language Proficiency Tests and Scores approved for UQ TOEFL IBT - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21 and speaking 19. TOEFL PB - Overall 570, listening 54, reading 54, writing 59/5. Pearsons - Overall Score of 64 and 60 in all sub bands. BEP - A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all macro skills. CES - Overall 176 and 169 in all sub bands. OET is not accepted.
