This program explores crime's fundamental nature and the root causes of unlawful behavior. Students select required coursework in either criminal justice or social sciences, receive training in social research methodologies, and gain expertise in analyzing crime and its societal controls.

The honors research thesis forms the program's cornerstone, offering students the opportunity to conceptualize, develop, and execute a comprehensive research initiative with faculty supervision.
