The Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) enhances your enthusiasm for exploration by providing specialized research training, laying the groundwork for a successful career in scientific research and related fields.
You'll develop comprehensive subject expertise and scientific understanding, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
You'll establish meaningful connections with fellow high-performing students, expanding your cross-disciplinary knowledge and increasing your capacity to create impact.
Alongside your primary specialization, you can explore diverse academic options (selecting from 23 majors and over 30 minors). Alternatively, broaden your perspective by incorporating a non-science minor – such as in linguistics, media studies, creative arts, business, or social sciences.
Queensland Year 12 (or equivalent) General English subject (Units 3 & 4, C); Mathematical Methods (Units 3 & 4, C); Two of Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science, Specialist Mathematics or Physics (Units 3 & 4, C), at least one of which must be Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
English language requirements
IELTS overall 6.5; reading 6; writing 6; speaking 6; listening 6. For other English Language Proficiency Tests and Scores approved for UQ
TOEFL IBT - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21 and speaking 19.
TOEFL PB - Overall 570, listening 54, reading 54, writing 59/5.
Pearsons - Overall Score of 64 and 60 in all sub bands.
BE - A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all macro skills.
CES - Overall 176 and 169 in all sub bands.
OET is not accepted.
