A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) represents a research-focused degree centered around an original thesis, tailored to the specific research approach, subject matter, and candidate's academic background. Depending on individual needs, additional research training or coursework may be incorporated into the PhD program. Students will receive continuous guidance, mentorship, and opportunities to engage with our research community.

PhD candidates can choose between a conventional thesis format or a publication-based thesis structure. The research should explore an important question within your discipline, producing novel and meaningful advancements in physiotherapy knowledge.

Prospective applicants should consult with an appropriate faculty member, ideally their intended primary research advisor, before applying for PhD enrollment. Domestic students may qualify for financial assistance through the Commonwealth Government's Research Training Scheme (RTS), while international students must cover full tuition but can apply for various scholarships designed for high-achieving candidates.
