The University of Notre Dame Australia offers an excellent combined Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Biomedical Science program. Biomedical science is a fast-growing field with diverse professional prospects. Yet translating research into clinical applications is challenging, typically requiring about 15 years. This dual degree equips students to streamline that process. Structured for completion in five years of full-time study, the program deepens understanding of biomedical science within legal frameworks.

The Law portion, accredited by Western Australia's Legal Practice Board, emphasizes hands-on experience. Developed with top legal professionals, the curriculum includes Criminal Law, Commercial Law, and Conveyancing. Law students enhance their theoretical learning through practical activities like moot courts, public speaking, mediation exercises, and client interview simulations.

The Biomedical Science component integrates legal approaches with studies in Developmental Psychology, Pathology, and Neuroscience. As bringing biomedical innovations to market involves collaboration between researchers, IP attorneys, and clinical trial specialists, professionals with expertise in both medicine and law are increasingly sought after.
