Philosophical inquiry lies at the heart of human understanding and our perception of reality. Our Bachelor of Arts program with a Philosophy Major offers a comprehensive exploration of Western philosophical thought from antiquity to modern times. Throughout your studies, you'll confront profound ethical dilemmas, master fundamental philosophical analysis, and sharpen your abilities in critical reasoning and articulate communication.

During your second and third years, you'll have the opportunity to tailor your studies by selecting from diverse subjects like Corporate Ethics, Symbolic Logic, Ontology, Religious Philosophy, and Theory of Knowledge. The curriculum also involves studying influential philosophers including Thomas Aquinas while developing skills to assess arguments concerning truth, existence, and diverse worldviews.

Although few philosophy graduates become professional philosophers, the valuable competencies and insights gained prove applicable across numerous fields. Earning a Bachelor of Arts (Major: Philosophy) equips you with the analytical and evaluative tools to excel in scholarly research, corporate leadership, policy formulation, government, media, global commerce, and international relations.
