Architecture improves quality of life by crafting purposeful spaces for human interaction. Today's pressing societal concerns - including sustainable development, accessible housing, aging populations, urban density, and community cohesion - frequently relate to spatial design. The field employs comprehensive problem-solving approaches, merging artistic vision and technical expertise with insights into human behavior, cultural contexts, and ecological considerations. The Bachelor of Arts (Architecture) serves as your foundation in this discipline. This three-year undergraduate program teaches students to conceptualize architectural solutions across various scales and settings, from private residences to public structures in diverse environments. Students examine architectural history and modern trends, produce detailed technical drawings, and utilize both physical and digital modeling tools while honing their creative and analytical abilities.
Our curriculum balances theoretical study with hands-on studio work. In lectures, students critically examine contemporary living environments. This knowledge then informs studio projects where learners design functional spaces and envision innovative solutions for human habitation and environmental restoration. The program cultivates professional ethics and social awareness as students engage with different cultural perspectives, applying construction technologies and environmental principles to address progressively challenging design problems. Our interdisciplinary educational model incorporates philosophical studies and optional Minors, broadening architectural training to equip graduates for evolving career demands. Recommended complementary Minors include Archaeology, History, Environmental Science, and Visual Arts.
