Earning a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) allows you to follow your academic interests while being mentored by globally renowned experts.
Transmission represents an innovative research collective where PhD and Masters candidates investigate the evolving landscape of creative sectors spanning Arts, Music, Media, Communication, Design, Science, Technology and Engineering.
Functioning as a cross-disciplinary doctoral training initiative, 'Transmission' connects graduate researchers with FASTlab, where they address practical challenges presented by corporate, governmental and nonprofit partners as part of their research development.
This initiative also enables industry partners to develop research projects for graduate students, who receive joint supervision from the School of Creative Industries faculty and industry specialists.
Graduate researchers collaborate with faculty and peers on both practice-based and theoretical projects within their research clusters. These groups convene monthly at FASTLab workshops to present findings and engage with visiting scholars, professionals and industry leaders.

Qualification Requirements
i) have satisfied all of the requirements for admission to the degree of Bachelor with Honours Class 1 or Honours Class II, Division 1 or any other degree approved for this purpose by the Head of School; or
ii) have satisfied all the requirements for admission to a degree of Bachelor in the University or another degree approved for this purpose by the Head of School; or
iii) in exceptional cases produce evidence of possessing such other academic or professional qualifications and/or experience as may be approved by the Head of School; or
