This dual degree program enables students to pursue studies in both the broad business field of the Master of Business Administration and the specialized international business curriculum of the Master of International Business.
The MBA program equips students with analytical, strategic, and leadership competencies to excel in competitive business management roles across corporate and public sectors. It establishes foundational knowledge in key business domains including accounting, finance, organizational behavior, economics, marketing, and management. The curriculum emphasizes analytical and problem-solving abilities through practical applications of managerial theories, while cultivating essential skills in teamwork, communication, presentations, and time management. Students develop adaptability to organizational and technological changes through studies in organizational behavior, information systems, and change management.
The Master of International Business program caters to two audiences: international students seeking business education with a global perspective for employment in worldwide markets, and domestic Australian students aiming to enhance their business expertise for international trade. The program delivers comprehensive knowledge in core business disciplines like marketing, finance, economics, and HR management, extending this foundation to address international trade dynamics, government policies, and global business regulations.
Entry into the Master of Business Administration/Master of International Business will be available for applicants who have:
Bachelor (Honors) Degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification; or
Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent qualification, in a related field such as accounting, business, commerce, economics, finance, human resource management, industrial relations, management, marketing; or
Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, not in a related field and 1-year relevant organizational experience; or
At least 7 years' relevant organizational experience, including 2 years in a management position; or
Successful completion of 75% (30 units) of one of the following UoN College of Human and Social Futures programs:
Graduate Certificate in Business Administration
Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance
Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management
Graduate Certificate in Marketing
Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting
Students seeking Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) must apply to the Program Convener. RPL applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
TOEFL paper-based test score of 550; TOEFL internet based score of 79; IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5; PTE GSE score of 58; Cambridge English: Advanced score of 58.
