This dual-degree program enables students to pursue both the broad business education of an MBA and the specialized financial training of a Master of Applied Finance. The MBA curriculum equips students with analytical, strategic, and leadership capabilities essential for advancing in competitive corporate and public sector management roles.
The program establishes foundational knowledge across key business domains including accounting, finance, organizational behavior, economics, marketing, and management. It emphasizes analytical and problem-solving abilities through practical application of management theories, while cultivating essential professional skills in teamwork, communication, presentations, and time management. Students develop adaptability to organizational and technological changes by studying organizational behavior, information systems, and change management.
The Master of Applied Finance equips graduates from various academic backgrounds with comprehensive financial expertise and analytical capabilities. Participants acquire essential financial management competencies, insights into domestic and global financial markets, expertise in derivative instruments, analytical frameworks for financial developments, and practical knowledge of specialized finance sector applications.
Entry into the Master of Business Administration/Master of Applied Finance will be available for applicants who have:
Bachelor (Honors) Degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification; or
Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent qualification, in a related field such as accounting, business, commerce, economics, finance, human resource management, industrial relations, management, marketing; or
Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent qualification, not in a related field and 1-year relevant organizational experience; or
At least 7 years' relevant organizational experience, including 2 years in a management position; or
Successful completion of 75% (30 units) of one of the following UoN College of Human and Social Futures programs:

Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance
Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management
Graduate Certificate in Marketing
Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting
Students seeking Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) must apply to the Program Convener. RPL applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
TOEFL paper-based test score of 550; TOEFL internet based score of 79; IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5; PTE GSE score of 58; Cambridge English: Advanced score of 58.
