The School of Biomedical Science and Pharmacy oversees the Bachelor of Biomedical Science program (including the Biomedical Science Honours track since 2019) and has managed the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) since 2013. With an annual enrollment of about 100 students, the Biomedical Science degree consistently ranks among the university's most popular programs. The School delivers foundational medical science instruction (covering anatomy, physiology, immunology, microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, and pharmacology) across nearly all degrees in the Faculty of Health and Medicine, plus select programs in the Faculties of Education and Arts, and Science. Annually, the School contributes to 71 courses serving more than 1200 full-time equivalent students across 15 distinct programs. Learners from various disciplines - including medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, medical radiation science, podiatry, oral health, and exercise and sports science - regularly interact with faculty from the School of Biomedical Sciences and Pharmacy.
