Students who complete the Bachelor of Music and Performing Arts program (or a comparable qualification) can pursue an additional year of full-time study (or part-time equivalent). This advanced program enables specialization at a higher professional and academic level. It equips graduates for careers in music and performing arts while also serving as a foundation for Research Higher Degree programs. Upon finishing, students will achieve: Expertise in music and performing arts research methods. Advanced project planning capabilities. Superior written, verbal, and performance-based communication skills. In-depth specialized knowledge of music and performing arts disciplines.

Qualification Requirements
Eligibility for admission to this program is based on applicants having completed a Bachelor degree in a cognate area with a minimum GPA of 5.0:
across all studies undertaken within the program, or
across a major in the proposed area of study, or
across 80 units of 3000 level courses (which must include at least 40 units of 3000 level courses in the major where a major exists), or
where the applicant has completed less than 80 units at 3000 level, a GPA of 5.5 calculated from at least 60 units of 3000 level courses (which includes at least 40 units of 3000 level courses in the major where a major exists).
In exceptional circumstances, an application which does not meet the above requirements may be considered.
Applicants for this program must satisfy a minimum English Language Proficiency Standard equivalent to an IELTS overall minimum of 6.0 with no subtest result below 6.0, TOEFL IBT 60 R: 13 L:12 S:18 Writing 21
across all studies undertaken within the program, or
