The Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Diploma of Legal Practice is provided through the Faculty of Business and Law. Details about the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) programs are presented here to offer foundational understanding for this degree. This combined qualification fulfills the educational prerequisites for legal practice admission in New South Wales. In the initial three years, students in combined degrees complete courses from both the LLB (Hons) program and their complementary non-Law discipline. The remaining two years focus exclusively on LAWS courses. For guidance on non-Law programs and suggested study plans for specific combined degrees, please see the corresponding program listings. After finishing their non-Law component, students will automatically transition to the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) with Diploma of Legal Practice for their final two years of legal education. Those preferring to switch to the standalone Bachelor of Laws (Honours) should contact the Program Convenor. This program requires five years of full-time study.
