Qualification Requirements

A candidate for the degree shall have been awarded a first or upper-second class (Distinction) Honours degree in education OR a Masters (Coursework) degree in education with a distinction average and a significant research component, consisting of methodology training and a stand-alone research project, or a qualification considered equivalent from another university or tertiary institution at a level acceptable to the Committee, and
Have completed at least three years' professional experience in a branch of education, or in some other area that is judged by the Committee to be appropriate, and
In exceptional cases an applicant who submits evidence of such other academic and professional qualifications as may be approved by the Committee may be permitted to enrol for the degree.
