The Master of Simulation & Immersive Technologies prepares you to emerge as an innovative design leader for tomorrow's challenges. This program develops your ability to recognize and address the increasing need for immersive solutions across diverse sectors. Taking a distinctive human-centered and design-focused perspective on technology, it emphasizes sensory perception and user engagement. You'll master the strategic application of simulation and immersive platforms like virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), and extended reality (XR). Hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies forms the core of your learning, complemented by real-world industry examples and expertise from international specialists. The curriculum allows customization to your professional aspirations, challenging you to solve domain-specific problems. Designed for working professionals across various fields, the program offers flexible study options - complete online learning or a blended approach with part-time/full-time choices. The blended format combines online core courses with two annual intensive on-campus sessions, either at our facilities or partner locations, while providing continuous access to all campus resources.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants must have a Bachelors degree with an equivalent of a 65 WAM to gain entry into the program. Given that the program aims to enable practitioners from a wide range of industry sectors to integrate visualisation, simulation and immersive environments into their own work contexts, entry will not be dependant upon a degree cognate with the creative disciplines.

English Language Requirements:

IELTS: 6.5 overall (min. 6.0 in each subtest); TOEFL IBT (Internet Based): 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking); Pearson (PTE - Academic): 64 overall (min. 54 in each subtest); C1 Advanced Cambridge: 176 overall (min. 169 in each subtest); C2 Proficiency Cambridge: 180 overall (min. 180 in each subtest); UNSW Global University English Entry Course (UEEC): Successful completion with a minimum overall grade of C+ and a minimum grade of C in the writing component.
