The Master of Pre-Doctoral Business Studies serves as a foundational program for students aiming to pursue a PhD at the UNSW Business School, forming the initial stage of the School's prestigious Doctoral Program. Specifically tailored for Business School doctoral candidates, it enables them to complete up to two years of advanced coursework as part of their doctoral journey.
As the first year of the Doctoral Program, the Master of Pre-Doctoral Business Studies consists of intensive coursework and a research project. The program features three core courses that broaden research fundamentals for all doctoral candidates. Students also select a specialization area, ensuring they acquire field-specific advanced training for their intended PhD studies. Admission to the PhD portion demands at least a 75% overall average in the Master's program and an 85% minimum in the Research Project Seminar.
