The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is an advanced research program that equips students with specialized research skills in public health, serving as either a terminal qualification or a pathway to doctoral studies. This program combines rigorous research training with selected coursework to develop expertise in public health disciplines and research methodologies. Students complete 18-24 units of credit from the Master of Public Health curriculum alongside a 40,000-word thesis on an approved subject. The standard full-time program spans five terms (two for coursework and three for thesis research), while part-time study extends to nine terms. All candidates must finalize their thesis within five to six full-time equivalent terms from their initial enrollment date.
