The Master of Industrial Research program is delivered via the ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centre for the Chemical Industries, an ARC-funded initiative involving UNSW, the University of Melbourne, Swinburne University, CSIRO, and multiple industry collaborators. These ARC training centers are designed to strengthen connections between academic researchers and industry professionals by offering Higher Degree Research candidates practical industry experience. Graduates will emerge as highly competent, industry-ready professionals while helping strengthen enduring collaborations between chemical sector companies and academic institutions. Each participating university will implement a Master of Industrial Research curriculum blending specialized academic instruction, industry-relevant skills development, and hands-on industry projects. At UNSW, the program will incorporate discipline-specific courses, business-focused coursework, and an industry research component completed by HDR candidates.
