The Master of Health Leadership and Management combined with the Master of Infectious Diseases Intelligence (Extension) allows you to specialize in both health management and infectious disease intelligence. This program helps you build research capabilities and apply them through a scholarly project.
Throughout your coursework, you'll acquire advanced knowledge across multiple disciplines, including: infectious disease surveillance; leadership and personnel management; strategic development and organizational change; healthcare quality enhancement; and the design, implementation, and assessment of health policies and programs.
This degree prepares adaptable professionals capable of enhancing public health outcomes across diverse settings, including health ministries, governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as public and private healthcare providers at primary and community levels.

Qualification Requirements

For entry into this program, you must have one of the following: An undergraduate degree in a field relevant to public health or health management and two years full-time professional or volunteer experience. This may also include equivalent professional experience acquired as part of a degree of four or more years duration (e.g., MBBS, MD). An undergraduate degree plus an honours or postgraduate degree in a field relevant to public health or health management. In exceptional circumstances, applicants with extensive relevant professional work experience (e.g., hospital-trained nurses, paramedics, Aboriginal health workers) may be considered. A minimum of five years full-time relevant professional experience is required and an interview with the School of Population Health may be conducted. IELTS - 6.5 overall (min. 6.0 in each subtest) TOEFL iBT - 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking)
