The Master of Engineering (Industrial Research) is a graduate research program combining coursework and thesis work, typically completed in 1.5 to 2 years of full-time study. Students conduct original research culminating in a thesis that presents their findings, designs, or engineering developments. The curriculum also includes three advanced courses (totaling 18 UOC) to complement the research component.

Entry requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline at a level specified by the Faculty Higher Degree Committee (HDC); or an equivalent qualification from a tertiary institution as determined by the Faculty HDC. Students should have been in contact with a potential supervisor before applying for the program. IELTS - 6.5 overall (min. 6.0 in each subtest) TOEFL iBT - 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking)
