The two-year Master of Applied Economics program offers adaptable learning options to develop skilled economics professionals. Graduates will acquire in-depth economic knowledge, hands-on abilities, and comprehensive research proficiency along with effective communication techniques. Students pursuing practical economics experience can opt for the available practicum component. Delivered through both in-person and online formats, this degree provides maximum flexibility to suit diverse learning preferences.
Students must need to have graduated from a recognised bachelor's degree from an Australian university or equivalent overseas institution with a minimum overall grade of 65%, as determined by UNSW Postgraduate Coursework Entry Calculator.
Your prior learning can be recognised to reduce the program duration. For students with Bachelor of Economics or Bachelor of Business degree with economics specialisation or equivalent, Honours or Graduate Diploma, the 5 core courses may be waived.
English Language Requirements:
IELTS: 7.0 overall (min. 6.0 in each subtest); TOEFL IBT (Internet Based): 94 overall (min. 25 in writing, 23 in reading, listening and speaking); Pearson (PTE - Academic): 65 overall (min. 54 in each subtest); C1 Advanced Cambridge: 185 overall (min. 169 in each subtest); C2 Proficiency Cambridge: 185 overall (min. 180 in each subtest); UNSW Global University English Entry Course (UEEC): Successful completion with a minimum overall grade of B and a minimum grade of C in the writing component.
