Health Data Science (HDS) represents the scientific and creative process of developing data-informed solutions by understanding intricate real-world healthcare challenges. It combines analytical reasoning with big data interpretation to extract meaningful insights. HDS is a rapidly evolving field that bridges biostatistics, computer science, and healthcare.
The Graduate Certificate in Health Data Science focuses on the initial phase of the HDS process, addressing healthcare context understanding, statistical fundamentals, programming basics, and data processing techniques. Successful students may continue their education through the Graduate Diploma or Master of Science programs in Health Data Science.
