The Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) in Criminology & Criminal Justice is a five-year dual degree program that provides you with the expertise, practical experience, and theoretical understanding to analyze how individuals and complex societal problems shape real-world situations. This interdisciplinary program examines crime and social challenges through combined perspectives from UNSW Law & Justice and UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture. With hands-on learning approaches centered on actual case studies and field experiences, you'll develop a comprehensive understanding of justice and social systems. The social work curriculum prepares you to support individuals facing difficulties like homelessness, addiction, abuse, mental health challenges, financial hardship, aging, and prejudice. Meanwhile, criminology studies incorporate psychology, sociology, legal studies, philosophy, and cultural analysis to deepen your comprehension of criminal behavior and justice systems.
