The School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences (BEES) provides multiple Honours programs, including one focused on Environmental Management. This Environmental Management Honours program exposes undergraduate students to research and projects relevant to biological, ecological, and environmental science fields. Participants complete a guided research project emphasizing scientific methodologies, specialized techniques, analytical reasoning, and scientific communication through written reports and presentations. The program's educational approach encourages students to embrace their role as researchers, fostering skill development and advanced subject knowledge with increasing independence. Spanning three sessions, the curriculum features a Research Proposal (incorporating an in-depth literature review and risk assessment) along with a major independent Research Project supervised by BEES faculty. These elements are supplemented by structured seminars and workshops covering key competencies like scientific communication, risk management, ethics, and career readiness, as well as presentations from the School and affiliated Institutes/Centers.
