Proficiency in mathematics, statistics, and computational techniques forms the cornerstone of sophisticated financial and business modeling, which is why Advanced Mathematics serves as an ideal pairing with Commerce studies. The Bachelor of Science (Advanced Mathematics) (Honours) equips students for the growing number of quantitative professions in fields like finance and tech, while UNSW's Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) offers a cutting-edge business education developed in collaboration with industry leaders to produce highly employable graduates. This five-year dual program establishes core business knowledge while letting students focus on one of 12 Commerce specializations including Finance, Business Analytics, or Economics, complete practical industry placements, and develop a professional portfolio. Simultaneously, students engage in advanced mathematical studies culminating in an honors research project within their selected Mathematics discipline.
There are several admission pathways to an undergraduate degree at UNSW including high school qualifications, UNSW Foundation Studies, UNSW Diploma, recognised prior study or university transfer.
