This three-year undergraduate program is collaboratively delivered by the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Science. It serves as a foundation for careers in biomedical research and also functions as an ideal preparatory degree for students aiming to pursue advanced medical or allied health programs.
Medical Science represents the scientific foundation supporting medical practice. It combines the examination of cellular structure and chemistry in living organisms (Cell & Molecular Biology and Biochemistry), with special focus on humans, along with detailed study of human anatomy and physiology. The curriculum further explores disease mechanisms (Pathology), the impact of microorganisms on health (Microbiology), and therapeutic drug applications (Pharmacology). Additional study options cover genetic inheritance patterns (Genetics), developmental processes from conception (Embryology), the body's immune defenses (Immunology), and brain structure and function (Neuroscience).
