The Bachelor of Media (Honours) is a one-year intensive program designed for exceptional students who have completed an undergraduate degree in Media. This advanced course allows participants to broaden and enhance their media expertise while cultivating valuable analytical, problem-solving, and research capabilities through either a substantial independent research thesis or a practice-oriented research project.
The Screen and Sound Production honours pathway requires students to complete 48 units of credit (equivalent to one year of full-time study or two years part-time).
This honours program combines seminar participation with either a research thesis or practical project. It includes 18 units of coursework and 30 units dedicated to the thesis/practical component. Students can choose between conducting original research culminating in a 15,000-word thesis or pursuing a year-long research project that combines practical work with a 7,000-10,000 word written thesis.
