Gain expertise from top-tier educators and earn professional teaching accreditation to make a difference in primary students' lives. The UNSW Bachelor of Education (Primary) (Honours), created in collaboration with the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA), delivers core teacher training grounded in cutting-edge research and evidence-based methods – with options to focus on English or mathematics. Instruction comes from active teachers with substantial classroom experience, helping you develop critical educational perspectives and leadership capabilities.
Starting in your first year, you'll get practical teaching experience in real classrooms, discovering how to positively impact young learners through forward-thinking educational approaches that adapt to changing needs.
Students must have completed the UNSW Bachelor of Education or other recognised Level 7 qualification with a major in a stream offered in the program. Students in a dual degree must have completed 144 uoc including all requirements for the Education component. Entry to Honours requires a WAM of 70 or higher (or equivalent) in the stream(s) seeking to be further studied.
